How To Install Stud – Anchor Mount Letters 5/5 (2)

About Instructor

About
Each type of dimensional letter has its own mounting requirement. There is no “one-method-fits-all.” Some sign letters are hollow in the back and require either a stud or pad mounting to properly install. If you are prepared with a few important tools, some knowledge, and a paper pattern, you will install like a pro! Here is the video to get you there!

Installing Sign Letters Using Anchor Mounts
You will need: (a): A long bubble level or better still a laser level. (b) An electric drill and perhaps some masonry drill bits. (c) Something to blow debris from the holes you drill, a turkey baster works well or even the exhaust ports on your drill will often be enough to blow out the debris and (d) Silicon Caulk, Construction Adhesive, Epoxy or whatever your favorite anchoring glue is, to fill all of the holes you drill.

A mounting pattern, is optional, but it will save you a lot of time and almost guarantee a professionally spaced and aligned installation.

No matter the type of installation, the key to a successful bid and profitability is to do a complete site survey at the time of bid, not after; use and test the supplied installation patterns before going on-site; and pre-plan as much of the installation as possible. With the relative simplicity of this type of install when properly planned, it becomes a nice extra profit center.
