Tom Carr majored in Design at UCLA where he studied under Lois Swirnoff, a protégé of the renowned color theorist, Josef Albers. Tom received a BA in Design from UCLA in 1988. Prior to owning SignWorks, Tom worked with Sussman Prejza, an environmental design firm whose projects included the LA Olympics, The Southern CA Gas Company and Euro Disney. Tom wrote the graphic standards manual for the city of Philadelphia, and has designed and produced signage for nearly 25 years.
