About
Steel Art’s Charlie Blanchard gives us an introduction to fabrication of Reverse Channel Letters. As the premier supplier to the architectural sign industry, Steel Art Company offers diverse, cutting-edge finished products exclusively for the trade. Since 1952, Steel Art Company has been manufacturing premium-quality architectural signage, metal letters, and logotypes.

Reverse channel or Halo lit channel letters are designed so that light from the back of the letter will shine onto the wall behind it. This means the light shines from the back face and not through the front face. They are mounted slightly away from the building so that the light is typically projected onto the wall. This creates a unique halo-like effect and provides a unique ambiance with a softer glow that is never overpowering.

There are many options for this type of product, which is why this short (under 7 minutes) video is so helpful! Finishes range from satin aluminum, painted aluminum and anodized in clear or Duranodic colors. In this video, you will also learn when to use water jet instead of laser cutting, what types of metals and special color effects are available, and how these beautiful products are constructed.

Stainless letters are also an option. While made from thinner material than most aluminum letters, stainless offers a wide variety of benefits, including mirror polished faces and edges, a popular finish on stainless letters.

The information is presented by Charlie Blanchard, Vice President Sales for Steel Art Company. Please see Charlie’s contact information below the video presentation.
