About Instructor

About
Friday, October 5 is Manufacturing Day – a day sponsored by the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) and the International Sign Association (ISA) to help local businesses educate students on how manufacturing offers rewarding, good paying and highly-skilled career choices. Finding qualified workers is one of the biggest challenges facing the sign, graphics and visual communications industry.

On Sign Manufacturing Day, companies in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry host facility tours to encourage students to explore exciting and diverse career opportunities within the industry. This video features Alfonso, who was hired in in the sign, graphics and visual communications industry after touring Signtech during Sign Manufacturing Day.

Community members may join the tours to see the value of manufacturing to the economy and to get a first-hand look at the various processes involved with sign manufacturing. We want to be able to expand our community’s awareness of manufacturing, the sign, graphics and visual communications industry and their place in the local economy, as well as showcase the wide range of diverse job opportunities that exist within the industry.
